Psychobotanic Installation

Mixed Media sound installation (2009)

Psychobotanic Installation utilises the inherent electrical connections and resistive properties of plants and their ability to interact and adapt to their environment to create an interactive visual and sonic installation. Visitors are invited to interact with the installation directly, enabling them to create different live audio and visual scenarios.

Psychobotanic Installation invites questions, and raises awareness, regarding the consciousness and interactive potentials of plant life, a theme continually explored within popular science fiction from The Day Of the Triffids to Avatar and the subject of current left-field scientific research.
