Holographic Lectern

Holographic Lectern

The holographic lectern is designed to provide a portable holographic presenter for on-stage events (lectures, presentations, talks etc.). It uses the ‘Pepper’s Ghost’ optical illusion which involves reflecting an image up at a transparent and reflective surface angled at 45 degrees from the projected image. In this case the image is supplied by a short-throw digital projector situated within the lectern capable of playing pre-recorded digital video content and displaying it above and to the rear of the lectern. When playing back a digital video source of a person’s upper body that has been filmed against a green screen, and with the background removed, an image of a person is perceived to be situated behind the lectern with a distinctive three-dimensional quality.
